Are your aluminum fence panels powder coated?
Yes, our aluminum fence panels are powder coated to resist rust, fade, corrosion and discoloration.
Can I install fence panels on concrete?
Yes, posts can be installed on concrete by utilizing our Surface Mount kits, available for both vinyl fence and aluminum fence.
Can vinyl fence panels be cut down to a smaller size?
Yes, panels can be cut to your desired width. We recommend cutting slowly and using a fine tooth saw. Click here for detailed instructions.
Can vinyl fencing be painted?
Painting our vinyl fencing is not recommended and doing so can void the warranty.
Do my posts need wood inserts?
No, our posts are structural and do not require, nor do we recommend, a wood insert. However, our aluminum gate post insert is required for gate posts to meet warranty and ensure strength for hardware connections.
What does ‘racked’ or ‘rackable’ mean?
Our Ready-to-Assemble panels will follow varied terrain, racking 1-in per foot. All Freedom aluminum fence panels are also rackable up to 38-in over 6-ft or 48-in over 8-ft.
What if my yard is uneven or hilly?
No problem! The majority of our vinyl and aluminum fence panels are rackable – meaning the panels will follow the varied terrain of your yard. Most of our ready-to-assemble vinyl fence panels will rack 1-inch per foot. Our aluminum fence panels offer rackability of 38-in over 6-ft or 48-in over 8-ft.
What is the difference between Ready-to-Assemble and Pre-Assembled panels?
Ready-to-Assemble panels come in a kit and require assembly. These panels use pre-routed posts (no brackets needed). Pre-Assembled panels require zero assembly and are installed to blank posts using brackets.

Does this railing meet code requirements?
Our railing products are tested to IRC/ IBC code requirements. However, you should always check your local building codes.
If I want to replace my wood railing, can I sleeve existing wood posts with a vinyl post?
Yes, our vinyl post sleeves will slide over a wood 4×4.

Yes, our aluminum fence panels are powder coated to resist rust, fade, corrosion and discoloration.

Are any of your products paintable?
Our vinyl products (vinyl fencing, vinyl railing, plastic lattice) should not be painted, and doing so can void the warranty. For our aluminum products (aluminum fence, aluminum rail, frame kits) we offer touch up paint that can be used to correct any slight chips or knicks in that may occur from regular wear and tear. Our Decorative Screen Panels can be painted to any color your desire!
Do you offer replacement parts?
Yes, please work directly with the Lowe’s store where the product was purchased for assistance with ordering replacement parts or call 888.418.4400.
How many times can Freedom’s Transferable Limited Lifetime Warranty be transferred?
The original purchaser of the product can transfer the warranty once to the next homeowner and must keep all of the original paperwork.
